U - shaped villa

Three volume villa based in a drastic landscape surrounded by birch trees, moss and lava fields.

Two bedrooms and a garage face the street to the south, composed by a single sloping roof volume.
An open kitchen and living room, TV room and a master suite faces the beautiful landscape towards north in another single sloping roof volume. The two volumes are connected by a flat roof volume generating a rather sheltered courtyard that embraces the afternoon sun.

Initially designed for a local contractor as a 4 bedroom villa but new owners have adapted the floor plan towards their need by the help of Guðbjörg Magnúsdóttir, interior designer
