Retail complex

An office, retail and warehouse building situated on a steep slope by the boarders of Kópavogur and Reykjavík.

The main staircase and elevator core is placed in the center of the building, making the building very flexible towards future changes and division making each floor being able to host up to four companies at a time. Therefore the sculptural stairs (essential for escape routines) are located on both of the short sites of the building for further flexibility.

The building is very classical looking with continuous, horizontal window “bands” dividing the facade by stories. Each floor has the same window size that shrinks by 10cm as it elevates.
